Realized apartment Studia 54 in Moscow: photos before and after

In September 2026, the Studia 54 team completed the implementation of a duplex apartment in the center of Moscow. At the reception, the customers noted that the finished interior exactly repeats the approved visualizations. Behind this result are 15 months of construction, dozens of contractors, complex engineering solutions, and hundreds of custom-made parts.

The customer has fully entrusted us with the implementation of the project and has only visited the site a couple of times. All issues related to construction, equipment, supplies and quality control were coordinated by a personal expert from Studia 54.

Thanks to this support format, the family was able to maintain their usual lifestyle while our team was engaged in the implementation of the future home.

In this article, we will explain and show how two isolated apartments turned into a full-fledged duplex residence on Arbat and what solutions required the special skill of our team.

Before and after: combining two apartments

Initially, the facility consisted of two separate apartments. We had to combine them into a single living space, review the planning logic, design the staircase and coordinate the work of engineering systems.

A ladder on a metal frame was created to connect the levels. All engineering communications also required recycling. The control of the main systems was concentrated in a technical cabinet on the ground floor, silent in-channel ventilation, underfloor heating and centralized control of electric curtain drives were provided.

Another feature was the large-scale work with joinery. Almost all the walls of the apartment are decorated with decorative panels made to individual sizes. They hide the technical elements and form a single interior composition.

As a result, two separate facilities turned into a 500 m2 residence with formal areas, a private master unit, children's bedrooms, technical rooms and a spacious terrace.

From visualization to implementation in 15 months

Preparation of the construction site began in May 2025, even before the final transfer of the set of drawings. The main works started in June, and the final delivery took place in September 2026.

Throughout the entire period, the customer was accompanied by a personal Studia 54 expert. He coordinated the work of the contractors, controlled the timing, configuration and resolution of technical issues. Every two weeks, the family received a detailed report on the completed work and plans for the next stage.

Round-the-clock video surveillance was organized at the facility with broadcast to the main office of the company. Our specialists were constantly at the construction site, and a personal manager came almost every week.

The work began with the preparation and protection of the public spaces of the residential complex. Decorative panels, parquet and carpet in common areas were covered with protective materials to preserve the finish during transportation of furniture, stone and construction equipment.

Thanks to this organization, the customer maintained the usual rhythm of life while the Studia 54 team managed the sale of the apartment.

Living room with 500-kilogram Bohemian glass installation

One of the most difficult tasks was the implementation of the author's light installation in the living room. It was developed according to sketches by Studia 54 in collaboration with the Czech manufactory Sans Souci.

The composition, weighing almost 500 kilograms, consists of hundreds of wavy glass elements. Each detail has a matte surface on one side and a glossy surface on the other, so that the installation changes its perception depending on the lighting.

When the backlight is turned off, the glass takes on a deep cognac shade. When the light turns on, the composition resembles the northern Lights. It was this natural image that was incorporated into the concept of the project.

A complex mounting system was required for installation. We have prepared an oval gypsum portal and a three-tiered scattering structure on cables, ensuring reliable placement of the massive installation.

Special attention was paid to upholstered furniture. Decorative cushions for sofas were sewn by hand, selecting fabrics, shades and accessories in exact accordance with the visualizations.

Marble TV area: natural pattern defines the design

The central accent of the living room is a large-scale TV composition made of natural marble, decorative panels and built-in storage systems.

At the configuration stage, we were faced with an interesting task. Marble with a calm pattern was initially chosen for the project, but it turned out to be difficult to find suitable slabs in terms of quality and shade. The team offered the customer an alternative variety with more active natural veins, which the family liked even more than the original version.

The rich pattern of the stone influenced the final geometry of the composition. We have revised the decorative details to reveal the beauty of the natural texture.

The most difficult stage was the rounding of the marble surfaces. To create smooth lines, it was necessary to produce many separate segments, carefully adjust them to the pattern and combine them into a single composition.

The TV area also includes self-made Studia 54 cabinets, radius niches, marble pedestals for art and integrated lighting.

The sculptures in the niches were made specifically for the project according to our sketches. To obtain a golden hue, their surface was coated with titanium nitride.

Kitchen and dining room: complex equipment and natural stone

The same marble was used in the kitchen area as in the living room. He appeared in the decoration of the apron and the massive bar counter, combining public spaces with a common material palette.

The delivery of the bar has become a separate engineering task. Due to the size and features of the stone structure, experts organized a crane lift from the street. This made it possible to deliver the product to the desired floor and preserve its integrity.

The marble elements were made and mounted with the involvement of trusted specialists from St. Petersburg. For Studia 54, it is fundamentally important to work with craftsmen whose work the team is confident of in previous projects.

The dining area has been complemented with items from leading Italian furniture brands. Special attention was paid to the consistency of materials, lighting and furniture proportions so that the finished space fully corresponded to the approved design project.

The terrace as a separate engineering project

One of the largest spaces of the apartment has become a private terrace. There is a lounge area, a radius gas fireplace, a pergola, a summer kitchen, a marble island and landscaping.

The implementation required serious engineering training. The specialists calculated the loads on the floors, including the concrete bases of the radius furniture, stone elements, metal planters, soil and irrigation systems.

Individual sofa and fireplace designs with smooth geometry have been developed for the terrace. The issues of kitchen placement, pergola and engineering communications were solved separately.

In total, more than ten contractors participated in the implementation of this space, whose work was coordinated by the Studia 54 team.

The landscaping was selected taking into account the Moscow climate and the atmosphere of the historic Arbat. The composition includes hydrangeas, sage, ornamental herbs and wildflowers. The plants are selected with different flowering periods so that the terrace changes during the season and retains its decorative effect throughout the year.

Master Unit: customized solutions for daily comfort

In the private part of the apartment, we paid special attention to the decoration, lighting and technology.

The wall panels of the master bedroom are made according to individual drawings by Studia 54. Their composition combines mirrored surfaces, leather, brass-tinted metal inserts, and integrated lighting.

Together with our engineers, we have integrated sockets and switches into the Visionnaire headboard, allowing you to control the curtains directly from the sleeping area.

A home cinema system with a single remote control is provided for watching movies. The projection screen, projector and equipment are hidden in the ceiling structures and appear when the corresponding scenario is activated.

Another important change has been made to the glazing. The standard window designs from the developer were replaced to maximize the panoramic view directly from the bed.

In the master bathroom, blue marble became the central material. For added comfort, there is a heated wall in the bathrobe storage area, a bench in the shower with a rain shower, several light scenarios and the ability to play music via Bluetooth.

Children's bedrooms with an individual character

The Studia 54 team has developed its own interior concept for each child.

In the girl's bedroom, wall panels are combined with custom-made plaster moldings. Next to the bed there is a decorative composition of hanging beads according to the sketches of the studio. It gently divides the space, maintaining a feeling of lightness.

The boy's bedroom is designed in a restrained gray-blue color scheme. Blue and blue accents consistently appear in furniture upholstery, decorative pillows, storage system and bathroom decoration. Even the glass of the shower got the appropriate shade.

Hidden lighting is provided under the beds in both children's rooms. In the evening, it creates the effect of floating furniture and can be used as soft night lighting.

Details that determine the quality of life

In the realized interior, solutions that manifest themselves already during everyday life are of particular importance.

For example, at the request of the customer, at the final stage we integrated a silent Italian refrigerator for storing fur products into the apartment. It was located on the ground floor next to the guest bathroom, adding new equipment to the already formed layout.

The guest bathroom has been decorated with onyx and illuminated. A light slab with soft natural veins was carefully selected for him, which beautifully reveal themselves when the light is on. The mirror was made according to individual sketches by Studia 54.

Even the space under the stairs has received a functional purpose. A laundry room was organized here, storage of household equipment and a special lapwash for a pet were provided.

Such details appear in the process of working closely with the customer and help to adapt the interior to the individual habits of the family.

One-on-one implementation with visualizations

In September 2026, the apartment was fully ready for transfer to the family. Intricate marble compositions, carpentry, author's sculptures, light installations, furniture and engineering systems took their places.

In the final, the customers were pleased to note that the finished interior turned out to be one-on-one with visualizations. This is a particularly valuable result for Studia 54, given the scale of the changes, the complexity of the designs and the large volume of products created specifically for this apartment.

A full cycle of work on the project allows you to combine architects, designers, engineers, furniture manufacturers and construction teams into a single management system. At the same time, the customer had one trusted person in the company, responsible for approvals, quality control and the progress of implementation.

This support format allows the family to maintain their usual lifestyle while the Studia 54 team is engaged in the implementation of the future home.

For us, the completion of this project was a confirmation of the professional approach to the implementation of complex interiors. Every detail, from the 500-kilogram installation to the small lighting in the children's bedroom, was brought to a result that the team and customers agreed upon at the design stage.
