Éclat d'Ambre: interior of a country residence for a large family

A home for a large family always requires particularly precise work. In the Éclat d'Ambre project, Studia 54 was tasked with creating the interior of a 1,200 m2 country residence where luxurious aesthetics are combined with the warmth of family life, privacy and thoughtful daily scenarios.

We have already developed an architectural concept for this project, and then moved on to the interior. The parallel work of the team helped to see the future image of the house at an early stage: architectural solutions, layout, interior, terraces and open spaces immediately formed into a single composition. The house has received a unified character in which the exterior, light, materials and interior routes support each other.

Project concept

The name Éclat d'Ambre translates as "amber radiance". The concept is based on the image of a rare fragrance, which unfolds gradually: first, light and soft notes sound, then woody, amber and tobacco shades appear, and in the end there is a deep, warm aftertaste.

The interior of the residence is based on this principle. Bright spaces give way to more saturated ones, transparent glass juxtaposes with deep stone textures, soft textiles balance graphic author's details. Moving from one zone to another, the family opens up a new facet of the house each time, maintaining the feeling of a whole, calm and very warm environment.

The layout is built around different scenarios of life. Formal spaces are suitable for large meetings and family receptions, chamber areas create an atmosphere for quiet evenings, the private floor becomes a separate world for parents and children. Many solutions are designed specifically for this project, so even functional elements become part of the overall aesthetic.

Living room with fireplace warmth and art

The living room has become the main space on the ground floor. Here the family gathers in the evening, welcomes guests, spends time by the fireplace and looks at the forest through the large windows. The interior is based on a warm palette, soft textures and expressive accents: Poliform sofas, Poltrona Frau, Porada and FiftyFourms tables form a calm, statuesque composition for a large family.

Art occupies an important place in Studia 54 projects. At the request of the client's wife, we took a particularly careful approach to the selection of paintings: we looked for existing works at international exhibitions, contacted famous artists. In this living room, art adds depth to the space and supports the ambergris, woody, slightly smoky palette of the house.

The double-sided fireplace will become a point of attraction for family evenings, create a feeling of warmth and become the emotional heart of the house. Its portal is engraved according to the author's sketches of Studia 54, and there are wood burners on the sides that turn a household detail into a part of the composition.

A special solution for the living room, a veneer panel with integrated light. It runs through the walls and ceiling, gently highlights the fireplace area and creates a more intimate atmosphere inside a large space. The living room retains its scale, and next to the fireplace there is a feeling of security and comfort.

Dining room for family dinners and receptions

The dining room continues the ceremonial scenario of the ground floor. Here, the family can gather at a large table, arrange festive dinners and receive guests in a more solemn atmosphere, while maintaining the warmth of a country house.

The main focus was a large light installation above the table. Transparent textured elements gently diffuse light, reflected in glass and polished stone, supporting the idea of Éclat d'Ambre: the interior reveals itself through radiance, depth of materials and a warm amber palette.

Glass partitions visually connect the dining room with neighboring areas, and dark wood planes add depth to the space. Thanks to this, the dining room is perceived as both formal and cozy: it is suitable for both a large reception and a relaxing family dinner.

A kitchen for quiet breakfasts and private conversations

The kitchen is separated by a glass partition, so it retains a visual connection with the front of the house and gets a more relaxed family character. Here you can have a quiet breakfast, discuss the day over a cup of coffee, or gather in a small circle in a more intimate atmosphere.

An island with seating became the center of the kitchen. It is complemented by an accent chandelier by John Pomp: textured glass resembles ice crystals or transparent mineral shapes. Against the background of warm wood and dark stone, the lamp adds lightness and subtle radiance to the interior.

image

The kitchen continues the overall concept of Éclat d'Ambre through a combination of light floors, wooden facades, deep stone and soft lighting. The space looks restrained and expensive, but its scenario remains alive: the family's morning begins here, short conversations appear during the day, and the feeling of a home remains, where the kitchen is created for communication.

The master bedroom in the customer's favorite palette

The master bedroom is decorated in warm grey, the customer's favorite shade. Here the interior becomes softer, quieter and more private. The palette is based on nuances of gray, beige, smoky wood and dark accents, which create a sense of security and tranquility.

image

The Rugiano bed is located in the center. Behind the headboard, we have developed an individual panel with a volumetric rhythm and soft lighting. It adds depth to the wall, supports the vertical of the room and makes the sleeping area the main accent of the space. There is a mini-bar and coffee area nearby so that the morning scenario starts inside the master unit.

A couch and a Minotti table form a separate place to relax. Here you can read, drink coffee, look out the window or spend time in silence. For a large residence, this scenario is especially valuable: a private bedroom becomes a personal restoration space, where each item is subordinated to the rhythm of the owners.

The atmosphere of a private spa

The main bathroom continues the calm, private atmosphere of the bedroom. The decoration combines stone, soft gray shades, expressive texture of the walls and delicate light. The space is designed for daily care, where the functionality remains precise and the visual feel is brought closer to a private spa area.

A special solution, two rotating mirrors above the sinks. They help to adjust the space to different care scenarios and add a sense of movement to the bathroom. Even a utilitarian element becomes part of the design composition.

Dressing room with a view of the forest

If the fireplace has become the heart of the whole house, then the dressing room has become the heart of the master unit. For the customer, it was one of the most important spaces of the project: a large square, panoramic windows overlooking the forest, convenient routes, storage of clothes, shoes, accessories and personal items.

We created a dressing room with the feel of a luxury boutique. Showcase facades, lighting, soft carpet, warm wood textures and accent suspensions form the atmosphere of the space, where getting ready for the exit turns into a separate ritual. Panoramic windows add natural light and connect the dressing room with the nature of the site.

Here, each zone has its own purpose. Open sections emphasize the beauty of the collection, closed storage preserves visual cleanliness, pull-out elements help organize accessories, and separate surfaces are allocated for jewelry and care items. The dressing room becomes a full-fledged part of the personal life of the owners.

A children's block with a thoughtful future

The central place of the children's block is occupied by a playroom. This is a common space for children, where they can relax, play, watch movies, engage in creativity and spend time with friends. The soft shapes of the furniture, the calm base, the color accents and the large lighting elements create a joyful atmosphere without an overly childish theme.

image

The rooms for girls and boys are designed to grow. Children are growing up fast, so customers are increasingly asking for a more meaningful nursery design: a calm foundation, high-quality materials, adult furniture and accents that can be changed over time. Such an interior is easy to adapt to the age of the child, and in the future to be converted into a guest room.

image
image

There are places in each room for studying and tutoring. This is an important part of the suburban life of a large family: it is convenient for a child to study at home, and space supports both relaxation and concentration. We chose a lighter and more delicate palette for the girl, and a calm, restrained base with expressive accents for the boy.

A home for sports, recreation and recovery

In a country residence, sports and recreation become part of everyday comfort. It is important for a family to have everything they need inside the house to maintain their usual routine and take care of themselves at their own pace. Therefore, the project provides for a separate training area with exercise equipment, free exercise space and access to an outdoor terrace.

image

The terrace next to the sports area adds another scenario to the house: outdoor activities. You can do your morning workout inside, then go outside, stretch, or just catch your breath with a view of the site. For living outside the city, such a connection with nature becomes a great value.

image

The recovery area includes a sauna, massage room and relaxation areas after workouts. Silence, soft light, moisture-resistant materials, convenient routes and a sense of privacy are important here. These rooms support the idea of a home where the family can relax, take care of themselves and recover without traveling to the city.

image
image

Terraces and open spaces

The house has several terraces that continue the interior and echo the open spaces laid out in the architectural concept. They give the house more light, air and a lively connection with the site.

Terraces develop different scenarios: morning coffee, family lunch outside, rest after a workout, evening meetings, quiet time alone with nature. Thanks to panoramic glazing, the boundary between the house and the plot becomes softer, and the interior gets more depth: the light changes during the day, greenery enters the frame, family life goes outdoors.

image
image

Éclat d'Ambre reveals itself gradually as a complex fragrance: through light formal areas, warm woody textures, amber shades, stone, glass, fire, water, forest and air. The interior becomes an extension of architecture, and architecture gets a warm, family and very personal life inside.
