1. Integrating Vastu principles

The ancient Indian science of Vastu Shastra continues to play an important role in premium interiors. Our team has extensive experience in incorporating these principles into both interior and architectural projects, blending spiritual harmony with modern comfort.

We see Vastu as a flexible framework for personalization. Its principles focus on orientation, the balance of the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether), and geometric proportions.

• Entrances are ideally oriented toward the north or east, attracting positive energy.

• Kitchens are often positioned in the southeast, aligned with the element of fire, to promote prosperity.

• The Brahmasthan, or central zone of the home, is frequently left open or designed as an atrium, allowing energy to circulate freely.

2.Bold accents in Indian interiors

Whether it’s a space for ceremonial receptions or a private villa, Indian clients rarely request minimalist monochrome interiors. In today’s interpretation, bold accents have become a central feature of premium Indian interiors — a tool for personalization, where traditional motifs are reimagined in a contemporary way.

A signature technique we often employ is accent walls crafted from natural marble with dramatic veining, balanced by understated panels of exotic wood veneer. For example, in a luxury villa in Goa, we designed a bespoke marble wall with integrated shelving, its vertical lines in harmony with the stone’s expressive character.

For clients who prefer a more saturated palette, we intensify accents through bespoke solutions.

In a grand reception hall at Trump Towers, India, we designed a bar niche clad in deep emerald marble, evoking the sacred jungles of India. The contrast of lush green with polished brass created a striking wow effect, amplifying the sense of magnificence and grandeur.

3. Hand-painted domes by our sketches

In the world of Indian luxury, art is both heritage and identity. Many of our clients are passionate collectors, inspiring us to design spaces where their artistic vision becomes part of the architecture.

Given the grandeur of Indian interiors, with soaring ceilings and expansive halls, we often integrate decorative domes that emphasize scale and drama — reminiscent of royal palaces.

In one of our projects in Goa, our designers created sketches for a dome fresco with floral motifs, executed by skilled artisans. The stylistic choice was inspired by the client’s wife, a collector of Dutch paintings, allowing us to reinterpret classical art through a modern lens.

To enhance light dynamics, domes can also be adorned with bespoke stained-glass. As daylight filters through, the walls and floors are bathed in soft, shifting hues, adding intimacy and atmosphere to expansive interiors.
