In the premium segment, a dressing room is an essential part of the living space. One that reflects the owner’s style, habits, and way of life. When properly designed, it saves time, maintains order, and becomes a source of daily aesthetic pleasure.
Principle 1: the signature Studia 54 style
A dressing room is a place where personal dreams take shape, which is why we approach its concept with particular care.

The Studia 54 style is defined by meticulous detail, bespoke design solutions, and complete personalization. Our work is recognized worldwide at first glance, and dressing rooms are no exception.

Each one is conceived to feel like a high-fashion boutique, crafted exclusively around its owner.
Principle 2: flexible planning solutions
The first step is choosing the location of the dressing room. What are the options?
- A dedicated room.
This is the ideal solution for large residences, where a full room or even several can be allocated for wardrobes.
- A dressing room integrated with the bedroom.
This option is often used in apartment layouts. It can be separated by a partition or a system of concealed doors to preserve a sense of openness — or remain completely open, depending on the client’s preferences.

- Multiple dressing rooms — a functional solution for a large family.
In addition to the main wardrobe in the bedroom, a separate one can be created in the entrance area for outerwear and seasonal shoes.
Principle 3: clear zoning
In residences starting from 1,000 m², every family member should have a dedicated dressing room. Proper zoning helps maintain order and reflects individual needs.
The men’s area is typically more structured and minimalistic, with ample space for suits, shirts, and footwear.

The women’s dressing room requires far more versatility: tall sections for dresses, numerous shelves for handbags, a vanity table, and a jewelry island for accessories and precious pieces.
Zoning can be literal or purely visual, achieved through contrasting materials, varied storage systems, and carefully selected color palettes.

Principle 4: layered lighting
Lighting defines everything in a dressing room. Unfortunately, a single chandelier, even a large sculptural one, is never enough.
In our projects, the main fixture becomes the visual centerpiece: a delicate pearl-like strand descending from the ceiling, or a dynamic composition of crystal leaves frozen mid-motion. Each installation is designed exclusively for the project, becoming a sculptural focal point that reflects the owner’s taste.
The installation provides soft, diffused illumination and sets the mood, while the remaining light sources ensure full functionality.

Lighting should include at least three layers: accent illumination, general lighting, and focused task lights. Additional sources highlight the contents of each section, making it effortless to find exactly what you need.
Principle 5: mixed storage systems
Storage systems are the “inner mechanics” that make a dressing room truly functional.
For a 2,300 m² residence in Moscow, for example, we designed eight dressing rooms in total: two for the owners, three for guests, and three for the children. Every family member has a dedicated space with enough room for a fully organized wardrobe. At the client’s request, we removed all poufs and benches in favor of maximum functionality and expanded shelving.

For his wife, we created a capsule wardrobe: handbags displayed on the upper level, curated outfits arranged on central rails, and matching shoes placed below. This layout makes getting ready effortless, allowing her to evaluate a complete look at a glance.

We prefer to combine open and closed storage systems. Open shelves are ideal for everyday items and for showcasing collections, while closed sections keep seasonal clothing neatly out of sight.
Principle 6: details that set the mood
Décor is the finishing touch that shapes the ambience. It might be a light installation, fresh flowers, or an art piece created exclusively for a particular dressing room.
We also pay attention to tactile details: a velvet-upholstered pouf, textured wall finishes, soft flooring — everything that elevates the sensory experience.
A dedicated dressing room is an investment in daily comfort.
Choosing the right type of dressing room depends on the planning stage of your design project. To determine the ideal layout, we evaluate how many clothes, shoes, accessories, and personal items you want to accommodate.
Our team considers not only the available space, but also your lifestyle and preferences, ensuring the room is effortless to use and brings joy every day.
