The project of a family apartment with access to implementation

Work on the interior of a 250 m² apartment in the center of Moscow began with a conversation about Japan. The customer was close to her quiet aesthetics: attention to small things, the expressiveness of empty space, the beauty of one line and the feeling that the interior is gradually revealed. But most importantly, she wanted to go to the construction site before the New Year. Therefore, the Studia 54 team immediately built the work in a comprehensive manner, from planning solutions and concepts to individual designs, furniture, art, lighting, equipment and working drawings.

This is how the Yugen concept appeared. In Japanese culture, this word is associated with depth, hint and beauty, which is revealed gradually. For the 250 m² apartment, we have created a functional interior where Japanese inspiration is conveyed through light, natural motifs, soft asymmetry, stone, wood, textiles and original Studia 54 details.

The Oriental Yugen concept in the interior

There is no direct stylization of a Japanese house in the interior, instead we took the very philosophy of contemplation: free space, natural graphics, precise line, deep texture and the feeling of air between objects.

In the guest bathroom, this idea is manifested through panels with a mountain landscape, birds and thin branches. In the master bedroom, it can be read in the vertical rhythm of the wall panels, the warm palette and the soft light. In children's spaces, natural motifs become lighter and lighter: branches, birds and leaves turn into embroidery, mosaic patterns and delicate decorative accents.

Kitchen-living room for family life

Every family has its own traditions, and our task is to create all the conditions for family moments to become brighter and memorable due to the atmosphere in the apartment. When we found out that every evening the family gathers at the same table, it immediately became clear which space would become the point of attraction.

The kitchen area opens to panoramic windows. Warm wood, light stone, built-in appliances and a dining table from Bontempi create an assembled composition where the everyday scenario looks expressive and natural.

An author's lighting installation is located above the dining group. Its shape resembles light leaves or thin plates floating above the table. During the day, it is perceived as an artistic object, in the evening it gathers warm light around itself and makes a family dinner the main event of the space.

The living room opposite the kitchen is built on a soft landing, a calm palette and tactile materials. The furniture was selected according to the scale of the room and the future rhythm of the family: it was important to preserve the view from the windows, the convenient distance between the zones and the spaciousness.

A master bedroom with an atmosphere of privacy

During one of the discussions, the customer formulated the idea of the master unit very precisely: in a large family, it is especially important that everyone has a place for their own rhythm. We supported this idea and made the master bedroom the most intimate space in the apartment. Here, the palette goes into deep warm shades: gray, coffee, graphite and powdery create a sense of security, softness and personal privacy.

We have placed a soft natural suede wall panel behind the Frato bed. Its vertical rhythm visually stretches the room, gathers the sleeping area and adds a deep tactility to the interior.

The Bella Figura chandelier creates a light accent. The combination of transparent and frosted glass gives a soft spectral effect: the light falls in spots, blurs hard contours and makes the interior more delicate, airy and intimate.

The relaxation area is complemented by Turri chairs. Their rounded shape and tactile upholstery support a calm bedroom scenario: here you can read, drink morning coffee or spend the evening in a more private atmosphere.

Master wardrobe in the format of a personal gallery

The master wardrobe has become an extension of the private block. His task was broader than storage: the space was supposed to emphasize the collection of things, accessories, shoes and bags, while maintaining a convenient daily logic.

Glass facades, warm lighting and a showcase have become accent features. The open sections display the most expressive objects, the closed modules maintain order, and the central area with poufs provides a place for fitting and calm selection.

The wardrobe is perceived in the format of a private gallery. The light builds up the volume inside the cabinets, the textures become deeper, and each shelf gets its own role. This logic is especially accurate for owners who treat clothes and accessories as a personal collection.

Bathrooms with author's panels

The bathrooms in the apartment have become a separate line of the project. Here, Japanese contemplation is revealed through mosaic panels, stone, glass, soft light and subtle graphics.

In the guest bathroom, the main focus was a panel with a mountain landscape, birds and a branch. It resembles ink painting: the image is based on semitone, depth, and the feeling of air. A round mirror, a dark stone with expressive veins and an amber shell made of blown glass make the space intimate and memorable.

In the master bathroom, we also designed a mosaic based on the author's sketches of Studia 54. Swallows have become a subtle decorative motif that continues the natural theme of the project. Against the background of stone, soft light and glass, the mosaic looks delicate, preserving the overall contemplative character of Yugen.

In the children's bathroom, the natural theme gets an easier reading. The mosaic panel by the bathtub resembles large leaves, and the warm palette creates a softer and more peaceful atmosphere.

Children's block for two girls

The couple's request was made with special warmth: to create a dream interior for their two daughters, with a well-thought-out foundation for the years ahead. The apartment has two children's bedrooms and a separate children's wardrobe, which gives the children their own part of the apartment with places to sleep, study, store and relax.

The first bedroom is for the older girl. The panel with branches retains its connection with the Yugen concept, while looking more free and modern. There is a sleeping area, a workplace and a space for socializing with friends, so that the room meets the current age and can easily change with the child.

We have selected an Eclipse armchair for this nursery. Its soft shape adds a more adult and relaxed scenario to the room: here you can read, relax after classes or spend time with friends.

The TV stand is made according to individual sketches by Studia 54. It fits exactly into the proportions of the room, supports the overall palette and helps to organize storage so that the nursery remains neat and visually whole.

The second children's bedroom is designed more softly. Light fabric on the wall, embroidered branches, powdery shades and delicate light create a sense of fabulousness without a literal children's theme. The room is designed for a child to grow up: a calm foundation allows you to change details over time and keep the interior relevant.

The children's wardrobe has become an important part of the block. Low sections, open shelves, glass facades and soft lighting help the child to see his things and gradually learn to choose on his own. Here, storage becomes a part of fostering neatness and personal taste.

The hallway and the first impression

The hallway sets the tone for the entire apartment from the very first seconds. In such spaces, Studia 54 always pays special attention to the balance of function and impression: it is necessary to provide storage, a convenient entrance scenario and immediately show the character of the interior.

At Yugen, the first impression is based on the depth of the materials. Light stone, soft lighting, restrained planes and art objects create a transition from urban dynamics to the inner world of the apartment. The house greets not with effect for the sake of effect, but with subtle expressiveness.

The hall and corridor connect all the zones in a single route. From the entrance, the view gradually moves to the kitchen-living room, the master block and the children's rooms. This movement supports the idea of the project: the interior is revealed layer by layer.

Art and original details

In this apartment, art has become part of the project work of Studia 54. We selected works for the Yugen concept and at the same time created original decorative solutions for individual rooms.

Panels with branches, birds, leaves and natural silhouettes connect the rooms with each other. In one space, they resemble an ink landscape, in another they become soft embroidery, in the third they turn into a mosaic pattern. Due to this, Japanese inspiration runs through the entire apartment and retains its delicacy.

The furniture was selected with the same care. Minotti, Rugiano, Bontempi, Frato, Paola Lenti, Turri, Bella Figura, Domkapa, Eclipse and Zanotta items appeared in the project. Each brand took its place in the interior: somewhere a strict fit was required, somewhere a soft tactility, somewhere an expressive light or detail with a more lively character.

Yugen has become an interior for customers, in which personal interest in Japanese aesthetics has turned into a whole space for the whole family. We kept the subtlety of the initial request, took into account the tight schedule before the start of construction and assembled planning scenarios, art, furniture, lighting, materials and original details into a single system.

For further implementation, the team has prepared a complete package of draft drawings, blueprints, and statements for successful implementation. The project includes author's sketches, decorative panels, mosaics, selection of materials and integration of art into the interior.
