Our client approached Studia 54 with a vision: to create a refined urban sanctuary where they could disconnect from the city’s relentless pace and immerse themselves in calm, thoughtful luxury. The residence, located in one of Midtown Manhattan’s most prestigious residential towers, was to become an extension of the client’s personality — discreet, elegant, and detail-oriented.
To bring this vision to life, we assembled a multidisciplinary team of over 50 professionals — architects, interior designers, decorators, engineers, and project managers — each contributing their expertise to ensure that every element of the project, from spatial planning to the stitching on the upholstery, was executed to perfection.
Concept
The project’s name — Tramonto d’Ambra — evokes the golden light of an amber-hued sunset slowly dissolving into shadow. This poetic image shaped our material and color choices. The palette features a sophisticated balance of tones — from soft beige and ash grey to warm terracotta, deep wood hues, and touches of black — revealed gradually through light, texture, and depth.
Rich wood veneers, suede, natural leather, Bianco Lasa Royal marble, burnished brass, and delicate crystal accents were carefully layered to create a sense of quiet elegance and timeless sophistication.
Every finish was chosen not just for its beauty, but for the emotional atmosphere it brings to the space.
Living room
At the heart of the residence lies a spacious living room, flooded with natural light and visual depth. A modular Minotti sofa becomes the central gathering element — expansive, sculptural, and effortlessly inviting.
The coffee table by Cattelan Italia is paired with a bespoke side table from FiftyFourms, bringing a touch of artisanal detail into the ensemble. Above, a one-of-a-kind chandelier — designed exclusively for this project — floats elegantly, casting soft reflections and setting the tone for the entire space.

The TV wall is clad in custom panels designed by Studia 54, anchoring the room with warmth, structure, and rhythm.

Kitchen and dining area
A marble-topped dining table sits at the center of the kitchen zone, surrounded by sculptural chairs from FiftyFourms, upholstered in rich textiles that echo the residence’s warm undertones.
Above the table, a custom-designed chandelier glows in amber tones, creating continuity with the overall concept and transforming everyday dining into a luminous, elevated experience.

Home office
The study was designed as a hybrid space — part private workspace, part luxurious lounge for receiving guests. For the client, it was essential to make a strong yet welcoming impression.
We developed a custom shelving system with open niches, integrated lighting, and textured paneling to display a curated collection of sculptures acquired from travels around the world. The materials, lighting, and color palette lend the space a sense of intimacy and intellectual character.

Master dressing room
Rather than a standard walk-in closet, we created a space reminiscent of a private jewelry salon. At its center stands a bespoke island designed and crafted by Studia 54’s own production team.
Cabinetry is finished in natural leather and fine wood veneer with brushed brass accents, bringing tactile richness and visual harmony. A thoughtful mix of open and concealed storage allows for seamless organization of garments, shoes, and the client’s personal jewelry collection.

Bathroom
The primary bath was envisioned as a tranquil retreat, adorned in golden tones and sparkling finishes. Suspended Ilfari lights add a touch of glamour, while a mirrored wall panel — cleverly hidden behind the main vanity mirror — visually expands the space.
Every detail, from the crystal reflections to the lighting temperature, was fine-tuned to create an atmosphere of warmth, calm, and understated opulence.

Tramonto d’Ambra is a residence without harsh contrasts or superficial trends — instead, it is a layered and emotionally resonant space designed for a client who values materiality, palette harmony, and thoughtful composition.
Studia 54 created a home that invites pause, reflection, and a deep sense of comfort — a place where the city’s rhythm fades, and the evening light lingers just a little longer.
