Genèse: family traditions and architecture from the Studia 54 team
In projects for the southern regions, aesthetics are always linked to the climate, traditions and lifestyle of the family. In the Genèse project, these tasks combined into a single architectural idea: a strict silhouette of the recognizable Studia 54 style in light shades, horizontal plastic, protection from the active sun, privacy and a deep connection with the nature of the site.
Genèse in French means "origin", "beginning". For us, this name has become the image of a 1050 m² house, which begins a new family history of the customer. Over time, it will be filled with traditions, events, meetings and memories.
In the project, we combined architectural rigor, family, expressive character and the author's techniques of Studia 54. The work took into account the peculiarities of the site, the steppe climate, the cultural context and the future life of the family inside the house.

Architecture of the steppe climate
One of the main references from the customer was the one-storey Studia 54 house in Kazakhstan. Both projects combine: horizontal volumes, wide roof extensions, deep terraces, panoramic glazing and the constant connection of the house with the landscape.

Therefore, the Genèse architecture develops along the site with a low extended silhouette. This solution suits the steppe landscape, maintains a sense of stability and helps to create more shade. Wide canopies protect the facades, terraces and routes between the blocks from the active sun, and the house opens up as a peaceful family residence connected to nature and the climate of the place.

The pine tree is the main symbol of the family home
The central image of the project was an existing pine tree located between two blocks of the house. It is perceived as a symbol of the family tree and becomes part of the architectural composition.
The courtyard, the view axes and the connection between the blocks of the residence are formed around the pine tree. The tree preserves the memory of the place and sets a more personal, warm meaning to the whole architecture.

Thoughtful living, relaxation, and entertaining scenarios in your own space

Planning logic
The one-and-a-half-volume of the living room is highlighted as the main dominant of the house and rises above the general line of the facade. Due to this, the central part of the residence receives more light, air and visual scale.
The main house and an additional block with a garage, gym and office are connected by an extended pergola. It forms a solid silhouette and creates a secure route between the master unit and the cabinet.

There is an outdoor swimming pool with a lounge area on the side of the gym. It was placed in such a way that it became an extension of the wellness block and at the same time maintained its connection with the central courtyard, terraces and natural surroundings. The panoramic glazing of the gym reveals a view of the water, so training, relaxing by the pool and walking around the site are perceived as a single scenario.

Facade materials
The facade is built on a combination of white porcelain stoneware, fiber cement decorative elements with the texture of wild stone, decking made of composite materials, brass, maple, micro-cement, graphite metal elements and the natural image of pine.
Fiber cement inserts with a wild stone texture create a special accent. They break up large planes of granite, add natural relief to the facade and connect the strict geometry of the house with the landscape of the site.

Decorative grilles perform two tasks at once: they protect the interior from the sun and create a changing pattern of light and shadow inside. The facades look different during the day, and the architecture reacts to the movement of the sun.

Nature in architecture
The courtyard with a maple tree has become one of the most personal decisions of the project. This is the author's technique of Studia 54, which the customer particularly liked: a living tree is placed in the center of the architectural composition and connects the main volumes of the house. The Ginnala maple was chosen for the project, which is resistant to wind, dry soil and drought, so it is suitable for the steppe climate and at the same time gives an expressive seasonal color.
In autumn, its crown becomes a bright natural accent between calm, light facades, graphite grilles and panoramic glazing. The tree is endowed with several functions at once: a symbol of the family principle, as a viewpoint from the interior and as a living part of architecture that will change with the house and the seasons.

The customer's personal world
The customer's idea of a family home for his parents, children, closest friends and relatives inspired us to create an architecture where every detail is connected with the future vibrant life inside. It was important for us to preserve the modern character, respect for the place, family values and the recognizable handwriting of Studia 54.
Genèse is conceived as a home for a new stage of life. A project that will grow with the family, be filled with events and become a space for traditions, warm meetings and memories passed down from generation to generation.
