The concept of the project is based on the harmony of natural motifs, deeply rooted in Japanese culture, with premium materials and exquisite installations. This tandem creates a refined atmosphere of “quiet luxury”, where the richness of colors meets natural restraint.
The hotel's guests are greeted by a compact reception area. The atmosphere here is subdued, cozy, and evokes an impression of noble luxury, but we have captured the Japanese hospitality in the expressive details and sophistication of each area. The accent wall behind the reception desk is made of golden coin mosaic, and soft sofas from the famous Italian brand Minotti will turn waiting into moments of calmness and relaxation.
Adjoining the sofas, Woodwell coffee tables by luxury FiftyFourms brand are made of precious wood veneers with a tinted glass surface. Their inimitable pattern and subtle shimmers blend seamlessly into the color concept of the project.
We decided to emphasize the high ceilings in the design project with a box made of illuminated quartzite. Its light shade and texture with natural waves and veins is truly mesmerizing and creates a harmonious contrast with the dark atmosphere of the space. The supporting columns of the box are organically integrated into the interior thanks to an original design technique: it seems that the quartzite illuminated from within is hidden inside the columns, and its texture is revealed to us thanks to the custom-made cut.
The art installation in the center is designed to add vibrancy to the lobby. A textile installation in azure-blue shades, like a frozen wave, conveys a sense of elusive beauty and harmony against a background of golden sand.
A podium with a water surface featuring chrome-plated stones is installed underneath it. The water creates a play of reflections, and all the light accents are revealed from a new perspective.
Consequently, the lobby is abundant with luxurious décor elements that captivate attention and mesmerize with their intricate details. This is what our client sought: to create a profound experience for his guests from the first seconds of their stay at the hotel.
Guests are then welcomed into an equally evocative continuation of the lobby. They can retreat to a private sofa area enclosed by elegant screens made of metal rods, reminiscent of a miniature bamboo forest. In Japanese culture, bamboo symbolizes luck, protection, and harmony, and its ability to grow and renew itself embodies vitality and natural balance. This allegory of nature invites guests to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of inspiration and tranquility, revealing a unique connection to the philosophy of Japanese tradition. Staying in such a space becomes a deeply meaningful experience, filled with sense of purpose and aesthetic pleasure.
The round shape of the lounge area is also reflected in the design of the ceiling, where there is a niche with an elegant nuanced mural depicting light silhouettes of flying birds. Nature motifs are supported by FiftyFourms premium furniture with bionic shapes. The curved shape of the Virgola sofa is combined with a group of multi-sized Elemento coffee tables that reference stones in the natural environment.
