The primary source of inspiration was the story of our customers: a family of two successful entrepreneurs with a common business, for whom a luxurious mansion turned into a symbiosis of their aspirations and desires. They met on New Year's Eve during a country trip to Karelia, where harsh winter frosts penetrate to the bones and nature mesmerizes with its pristine beauty. They were enchanted by each other and this winter fairy tale, so when designing their future Glacielle mansion, we reinterpreted the idea of a snow castle by introducing dark shades distinctive to the Studia 54 style. The predominant materials are travertine and precious woods, which create a soft contrast and a cozy, festive atmosphere.
The residence includes 8 bedrooms and is divided into three main units, allowing for a combination of all the essential areas for living.
The centerpiece of the mansion is the intricately shaped sculptural staircase, which has turned into a genuine work of art that attracts attention during even a fleeting glance from the inner yard. It leads to the spacious master suite on the second floor, where our customers can experience the charm of privacy and seclusion in their own country residence.
On the right side lies the SPA-area with a bar and thoughtfully designed relaxation rooms overlooking the garden, while the left unit is occupied by the spacious guest block with separate access to the terrace. Thanks to the perimeter bypass terrace, residents and guests can quickly access any part of the house.
The staff block is sensibly hidden from plain sight, which has recently become an important requirement of our customers on a general scale. To preserve the privacy of the residents, we have provided travel routes for the employees and separate facilities for fulfilling their duties.
Balanced house forms resonate with the complex cascading landscape: a multi-level walk staircase made of architectural concrete brings asymmetry to the design, creating a more relaxed and casual space. The combination of several soft seating groups allows you to nestle in new settings and contemplate a magnificent residence from new angles.
In the Glacielle residence project, our hearth zone with an upholstered sofa group was placed in the inner yard. However, unlike the residence projects in the villages of Repino and Novye Dubki, we elevated it above the surface to create a feeling of a secluded corner, separated from the rest of the yard. The facade of the hearth is decorated with graceful channelures that emphasize the architectural style of the residence. They are made of weather-resistant materials, ensuring durability and maintaining aesthetic appeal for many years.
Glacielle facades feature the references to the classical architecture with its massive columns and channelures. Exquisite travertine cornices add to the overall concept and has well-rounded shapes, thus smoothing out the corners and making the structure more flowing and soft. The solid base of the foundation creates a sense of stability for the residence and is offset by the lightweight second floor.
Panoramic windows throughout the residence provide a luxurious view of the inner garden. The SPA area features a soft group for leisurely nature observation with a mug of hot mulled wine.
When working on the Glacielle project, we carefully calibrated every line intersection. As a result, this play with volumes has added depth to the mansion and enhanced its graceful appearance.
The spa area with a bar also opens up to a lounge area with a sofa group in the courtyard. Even the winter frost will not prevent you from lounging in it and enjoying the snowy fairy tale.
The spacious terrace with a summer kitchen, bar, and several sofa groups invites a variety of entertaining with family and friends. A skylight with graphic grilles provides natural illumination and makes the terrace spacious and sophisticated.
The ceiling lining is made of textured copper in a warm shade and creates a magical, cozy atmosphere. The rounded shapes and columns characteristic of the entire mansion are also reflected here: a voluminous column with channelures echoes the massive pylons in the courtyard.
Residents are greeted by a lush entryway with a walkway of glass and stone. We have ensured a comfortable approach to the house at any time of year, keeping it protected from precipitation thanks to a sophisticated heating system. Metal rings with glass inserts are associated with ice figures and echo the rounded shapes of the facade. The pergola with metal and glass elements emphasizes the elegance of the architecture and ensures continuous interaction with the surrounding landscape, allowing light to play on the surfaces and give the entrance area a special magic at any time of day.
The luxury architectural project of Glacielle country mansion by Studia 54 is the result of deep creative work and total immersion in the atmosphere of a winter fairy tale. The luxurious residence turned out to be light and refined and makes it an ideal place to reside at any time of the year. The unique style of Studia 54 projects attracts our clients, and their wishes and dreams consistently offer us new challenges, which we gladly accept, creating harmonious spaces for comfortable living.
