Situated within a luxury hotel, the restaurant embodies the client's vision of honoring the region's traditions. Our concept marries the spirit of local heritage with contemporary approaches to premium restaurant design. Guests are immersed in an atmosphere that reflects the richness and authenticity of the area, enhanced by unique design elements inspired by nature and cultural symbols, creating a truly unforgettable experience.
The first impression begins with the cloakroom, a true masterpiece. Its facades are adorned with plaster bas-reliefs inspired by the legendary animal style — an iconic element of Ural cultural heritage renowned worldwide.
Our designers visited the Cherdyn State Museum to study ancient artifacts and figures, which were then reinterpreted with a modern aesthetic. The ensemble is completed by a refined bench, an elegant pouf, and a delicate metal chain — accent details that add coziness to the space.
To maintain focus on the intricate bas-reliefs, the cloakroom door was cleverly concealed.
As an industrial hub, the city’s essence is reflected in the textures, details, and tones of the interior. The flooring resembles a metal alloy, traversed by a depiction of the Kama River, which flows through the city. This “river” is crafted with mosaic techniques using fragmented ceramics.
When designing restaurant spaces, we always aim to incorporate unique details, art objects, and installations. These accents make the space captivating and unforgettable for guests.
In this project, bar tables resemble fragments of the majestic Ural Mountains, crafted from architectural concrete.
Their rugged massiveness is balanced by a delicate installation of stabilized pine branches illuminated by hidden LEDs. This art piece evokes a starlit night sky glimpsed through a pine forest, creating a mesmerizing visual effect.
This interplay of robust forms and graphic lightness adds sophistication to the interior, leaving a lasting impression on restaurant guests and hotel residents alike.
Special attention was given to selecting dining furniture. Each piece is distinct yet contributes to a cohesive composition. Comfortable armchairs from our premium furniture brand FiftyFourms and round tables invite guests to relax over breakfast or dinner.
Lighting plays a pivotal role in the restaurant’s ambiance. Pendant lights shaped like clouds illuminate the textured walls near the windows, coated with decorative plaster reminiscent of combed sand. This tactile effect enhances the natural feel of the space.
Private dining zones behind rounded glass screens add an intimate touch, while sculptures on metal pedestals draw from the cultural imagery of the Perm region. These unique pieces were custom-designed for the project based on our sketches.
The rhythm of the robust metal columns is echoed by a backlit installation with a texture reminiscent of papyrus paper.
The final touch is the bar wall, adorned with hand-painted artwork. The contrasting design of a pine branch by the artist introduces a natural motif that complements the interior’s themes.
Multiple warm light sources create a relaxing atmosphere. The interplay of light and shadow, achieved through strategic placement of fixtures, becomes an integral part of the design, adding depth and expressiveness. Adjustable lighting intensity ensures functionality and sets the mood for guests.
One of the restaurant’s highlights is its open show kitchen, where guests can observe the chef preparing dishes. The kitchen counter is adorned with hand-painted ethnic motifs, reinforcing the cultural narrative.
At Studia 54, we understand how crucial a restaurant’s design is to its identity. The interior and meticulous planning define the guest experience, leaving a lasting impression. Here, in the heart of Perm, the restaurant’s modern aesthetic is deeply rooted in the region’s rich cultural heritage, creating a unique atmosphere for an exceptional dining experience.
