At the heart of the concept lies an interpretation of traditional Japanese symbols. The central motif is the sun, symbolizing abundance and life. Its soft light filters through ornamental panels resembling the branches of blossoming cherry trees. This artistic approach transforms the lobby into the emotional and visual centerpiece of the hotel, where every guest feels immersed in an atmosphere of exceptional care and thoughtfully designed comfort.
The defining feature of this project is a grand light installation covering the lobby ceiling. Created from our sketches, the installation comprises graphic panels with patterns reminiscent of intertwined cherry branches. Through this delicate design, amber light reminiscent of a sunset filters in, as though shining through tree canopies.
This design decision enhances the visual cohesion of the lounge and reception areas, creating a cozy yet stylish space that captivates guests. As a result, the lobby becomes a hub of attraction, inviting guests to pause, linger, and fully experience the hotel’s ambiance.
The hotel reception desk is framed by a marble portal that adds a sense of sophistication to the space. Behind the desk, a glazed niche with a liquid silk panel reflects the shimmering light from the ceiling installation. Warm-toned wood, marble, and glass create a harmonious composition that balances elegance and functionality.
For spatial zoning, we employed an innovative decorative solution: thousands of ultra-fine chains cascading from the ceiling to form subtle partitions between seating areas.
This element symbolically refers to columns, which in Japanese architecture serve both structural and aesthetic purposes. Like columns, the chains establish a rhythmic composition, lending the interior a sense of refinement and balance characteristic of Eastern architectural traditions.
Integrated lighting in the upper and lower sections of these structures enhances the interplay of light and shadow, imbuing the space with a meditative quality. Light refracts across the surface of each chain, bathing the lobby in a soft, dynamic glow.
Special attention was given to the selection of furniture for this project. The lounge area features exquisite arrangements of modular sofas and armchairs from the FiftyFourms brand. Premium, durable materials and ergonomic designs highlight the hotel’s commitment to guest comfort.
The seating groups encourage relaxation and provide an ideal setting for business meetings. The sense of privacy is enhanced by glass screens designed to our specifications. Their shape and structure draw inspiration from traditional Japanese “byōbu” folding screens.
