Modern interior of the house in dark shades in Prague

Ethnic motifs and art objects in a country house in the Czech Republic

The team of Studia 54 created a complete architecture and design project of 937 m² for a Czech client. The layout of all rooms is orientated to the sides of the world. The interior features many ethnic motifs, accent details and sculptures.

It was very important to the client to use a dark colour scheme and to give the interior a brutal character without pretentious luxury. We were very attentive to all the wishes of the client's family, and in every detail we tried to reflect their dreams in the concept of the house.

    Living room

The living room has become a centre of attraction thanks to the abundance of interesting details. Here, softness and aesthetics are combined with functionality: a chandelier designed by Studia 54 emphasises the sophistication of the space, while the latest furniture from leading Italian brands from the 2024 season completes the room's modern look.

The lighting scenarios play a key role in creating the right atmosphere, from subdued and mysterious lighting to bright accent lighting.

The terracotta suede panel with three-dimensional elements behind the TV stands out here, adding textural volume to the interior. Oversized paintings and sculptures add a special charm to the room.

The large living room of the house with a second light is visually divided into several functional zones at once. There is also a sofa group by the fireplace, where you can warm up in the evening. The portal of the bio-fireplace is made of marble in the shade Cafe Moca. The graphic veins of the natural stone are complemented by ethnic ceramic sculptures.

We designed the entire interior in such a way that rhythmic details and accent images of ethnic sculptures permeate all the rooms. Thus, we got a unified meaning in the concept of the design project.

    Dining area

The dining area is located in a bay window with a lovely view of the picturesque grounds.

The chrome glass light installation in black and bronze shades, designed by Studia 54, is a real highlight of this space.

The customer's special wish was to integrate the storage of his wine collection into the dining room space. The tinted glass with delicate lighting harmonised with the room's interior.

    Ground floor hallway

Guests are greeted by a composition of artificial plants inspired by the aesthetics of a winter garden. It was important to the client to create a corner of nature in the house.

As if frozen raindrops, threads of light installation with luminous balls above the tree float in the air. The soaring staircase steps are made of marble in the same shade as the fireplace — Cafe Moca.

The ground floor corridor is like a palace enfilade, bright and impressive. The walls are finished with inlaid veneers of different types of wood. Together, they form a pattern that permeates the space. Backlit brass inserts at different levels add a mysterious atmosphere and emphasise the picture.

The metal panel is reminiscent of flowing lava. Behind it is a decorative velour panel in the accent colour of this project.

    Women's walk-in closet

This space fulfils the lady of the house's dreams of her own private corner. Here, choosing an outfit and preparing for a soirée will become a favourite ritual.

A spacious leather island with decorative stitching allows you to conveniently store all your favourite jewellery and accessories. Like a showcase in an expensive shop, the interior lighting will highlight your jewellery collection.

The wardrobe of clothes and bags is stored behind tinted glass with delicate lighting. The chandelier is effectively reflected in them. It resembles a string of pearls, which adds to the atmosphere.

    Women's bathroom

Here we continued the atmosphere of the dressing room of the mistress. The portal with mirror is made entirely of natural Arabescata marble. Convenient storage on the sides of the sink allows you to place everything you need.

    Master bedroom suite

The design project of this room is attractive thanks to a large-scale partition made of marble with asymmetrical milling. It helps to harmoniously divide the space into functional zones. The bed with a large velour headboard is made according to our sketches.

On the reverse side of the partition, we created a composition of frosted glass with backlighting. The composition is complemented by a black macramé panel.

The cabinet is made in dark colours, which emphasises its status and serious character. Relief panels behind the desk conceal the working equipment.

The study features a relaxation area in a soft burgundy shade band from Poltrona Frau, which is complemented by a FiftyFourms designer coffee table.

    First floor hallway

This corridor overlooks the ground floor living room. That is why it was important for us to create an interior as colourful as the main rooms of the project.

We are reverent about art, because for the Studia 54 team, the process of creating an interior is the fulfilment of a dream of visual beauty.

The composition with the marble console and orange-coloured suede panel reminds us of a real painting. All the details are harmoniously woven into a single whole.

    Gymnasium

The client's family favours active sports. In this hall, our designers and architects combined functionality with aesthetics. Ethnic accents permeate the entire concept of the project. The Sumi-e painting imitates Japanese masters.

    Bathrooms

We paid special attention to the bathrooms in the project. Each of them has its own highlight. Whether it's quartzite in a green accent colour or a spectacular sink.
