The configuration of the architecture is closely related to the topography of the site - the house has a long, narrow plan, and a series of outdoor pools and meditation areas unfold in front of it. The rooms are filled with a sufficient amount of natural light and provided with natural ventilation. We've furnished the back courtyard with several terraces and gazebos for the hosts to comfortably and diversely spend time with friends - the thriving valley provides beautiful views of the green landscape. The mild climate, abundance of sunshine and clean coastal air formed the ideal conditions for the construction of a stunning private residence.
This project was ordered by a couple from the United States, who dreamed of a tropical vacation home. Our architectural style has been reinterpreted by choosing abasi wood as the key material for the facades. Well aware of modern trends in the world of architecture, the clients ordered a sculptural building with panoramic windows, clean horizontal lines and a spacious interior, as well as massive awnings to naturally cool the house.
On the first floor there is a social area with a chic fireplace, an original cantilevered staircase made of redwood that leads to the second floor to the master suites. From here you have an amazing view of Table Mountain and the water. Guest rooms are located on the first floor and have access to the interior garden. In the basement there are rough rooms, storage, underground garage. The roof of the first floor smoothly passes into the terrace, where you can sunbathe or arrange a large-scale disco. That is why the appearance of the house has some minor references to the style of the bungalow, but it looks modern and monumental.
